Since it was a blustery day, the first thing I ordered was their infamous Bloody Mary to warm me up! It is more like a meal than a drink and just what I needed after driving through record breaking 7 inches of snow to get here.
The Stilt House prides itself on their homemade cooking and desserts! You will for sure find something that tempts your palate on their menu. My friend, Rebecca, and I started off quite gluttonous by choosing the Bruschetta and the Giant Soft Pretzel which comes with the most heavenly jalapeño beer cheese and whole grain mustard.
Since we were well on our way to full, Rebecca and I chose to go lite on our main course. She ordered the Carnitas Pork Mini Street Tacos which were bursting with pico de gallo and salsa verde.
I went with my old standby – the absolutely delicious Grilled Romaine Salad with Chicken. The homemade ranch dressing, bacon, and large shaved pieces of fresh Parmesan makes it!
The Stilt House remains a favorite because they pay attention to detail. They change up their menu periodically throughout the year and always have a special to offer. I’m still trying to work of them to bring back the most amazing thing they ever offered – the fried goat cheese with mango salsa! Please jump on this band wagon because if enough of us ask maybe they’ll surprise us! 😁
